Happy IV/XX!
Welcome to the official website
for all things XBAND Guild, and
the third devpost for this
online recreational hobby.

It's been more than three years since the
last update I made here. My world turned
upside down forever the very same morning
I had planned to post an update on October
1st of 2020, looking forward to the slew
of holiday events beginning in online
games and real life. Before I got around
to uploading anything, I received a phone
call from my sister that my mother had
just been taken away from home by
ambulance, and subsequently later that day
she was no longer with us.
A lot of my motivation and interest in my
all time favorite hobby became stalled,
and I missed out entirely on many of the
gaming content I had been looking forward
to all year: the Halloween events in
Animal Crossing, Phantasy Star Online, and
World of Warcraft. In fact, I skipped out
entirely on the Shadlowlands expansions as
I felt the grief was too near with me to
play an expansion taking place in the
afterworld so soon after what had
happened. Enough time has passed for me to
recognize that it should be much clearer
now to realize that spending as much time
as possible having fun with friends and
family is not only important, but in no
way dishonors the memories or sullies the
importance of those no longer able to join
us.
That being said, playing the Diablo IV
beta with friends was the most fun I've
had playing an online game in quite some
time, and I do really hope this is the one
that will bring us back together from the
divergence that naturally occurs from
adulthood. I of course realize the Silver Age
days of raiding together and everyone
meeting up for dinner afterwards are long
gone, but being able to play together
again in any capacity would be awesome.
As far as updates to the site go, I have
finally begun adding some profiles on our
members on the Player
List page, starting with Kykyo and
Elara. I hope you enjoy taking a peek at
them, and hope to add more soon.
2023 is the year I'm
looking forward to going back to Hell
with the crew.
